Palmer Alaska just hosted its first Bike Shorts Film Festival.
Palmer Arts Council had a good turn out and every attendee enjoyed both Bike Shorts 8 and Bike Shorts 9 line ups.
There Peoples’ Choice Award goes to Unicycle Bastards invade Portland and White Vans.
The Bike Shorts team welcomes our friends up north and hopes that future Bike Shorts Festivals will feature cycling films from there region…..maybe racing a polar bear! ;0)
There are some really good film submissions this year. We are also looking for pictures of bikes, weird bikes, moving furniture by bike, touring by bike and anything bike related.
Do you have photos of cycling, bikes, cycling families, infrastructure or anything bike related you would like to show during half time and transitions during films then please send them to director(at)bikeshorts(dot)ca. Highest resolution possible please.
Man, I voted for Paris Brest Paris, but there were so many swimming around in my mind. After I realised that White Vans had really struck a chord, but maybe Dream History, with it’s musical and colour transition from ominous to glorious pleasure of riding. The adults only became clear with No No No Yes. Then there was the stunning skills shown in Crux….each “wow” getting a little larger….until he lands on something that is tiny and moves! An that little clip of the woman on her bike(Farah), with that huge smile, on her face.
